WILL THERE STILL BE SCHOOL IN THE FUTURE? (M. Zaki Zahirsyah)

"SCHOOL? FUTURE?...."

As we all know, people’s opinion about future are always talking about something simple and up-to-date. Many aspects of life are maybe change as time goes by. No one knows how will be the future world, but everybody has their own freedom to choose their life would be. It also happens in school.  The existence of school in the future is uncertain. But we all see that year to year, century to century, education is needed. Education makes the quality of human being goes better.

Schools will be needed in the future, but the curriculum has to be customized to suit the student needs. The student’s need will get more competitive such as high quality of technology, shorter period of study, easier way to study (laptop provided by school), long distance study, and all information they get at once.  Although the technology will be useful in the future’s education but the position of the schools and teachers cannot be replaced.

Because I’m sure no matter how modern the technology, teachers’ cleverness is always better. In our culture, we are educated leading by sample. The sample is the teachers, they always teach us which is good and bad, so we have a great and nice character of being students. Students in Indonesia, pay high respect to teachers and also we have the national day for teachers. That’s why, as I said before, teachers position can’t be replaced.  

To conclude, I would like to say that school and teachers will still exist in the future. Remember, no matter how good the technology will we have, how modern our way to learn, how short will be our time to study and go to school, Teacher will always be the best person to teach. They Create leaders who help us compete on a world stage, make us an informed citizen,  teach creativity and problem solving. They will always give us unlimited knowledge

The image of Labsky

The image of Labschool Kebayoran “Labsky” that produce success people, and which is the place where I study now. I made this report to present the image, and the Lifestyle of Lab sky Students. I interviewed my friends and ask the about their lifestyle. The questions is: movie, music, internet, mall, study frequency,  and many place for hangout.

Movie: Over 80 % students of Labsky go to the cinema twice a month to 2 hour  watch movie, and sometimes on their free times they spend 2 hours to watch movie from DVD at home, they prefer to watch Hollywood movies (foreign movie)  rather than the (local)Indonesia movies.

Music: Students of Labsky said that they like foreign musics rather than Indonesian musics, they presume Foreign music have a better quality than Indonesian music.

Internet: The many of people use Internet 1 until 3 hours a day on the weekdays, and on the weekend they use Internet around 1 until 4 hours. One-four use internet to play games, open facebook, checking e-mail, and watch movie on youtube on weekend. And one-three use internet for Social networking. But manny student use internet just for playing online Games, and watch movie on youtube.

Mall: Mall is one popular place for  labsky students often went to, The Average frequency labsky students go to malls is 4 times or every Sunday a month with family or with friend, and the most visited mall is Pondok Indah Mall 1 or Pondok Indah Mall 2, and Gandaria city (Gancy). The students go to mall for stress relief after a full week studying at school or just hanging out.

Study Frequency: On weekdays Labsky Students averagely study for 2 or 1 hours a day at home with a private teacher or alone, and on weekend they study for an hour a day.

THE IMAGES OF LABSCHOOL KEBAYORAN

I'm now attending Labschool kebayoran,Labschool Kebayoran is a highschool located in kyai haji ahmad dahlan kebayoran, iam now reporting an english assigment about the lifestyle in labschool kby.

1.   Movies : many students here likes watching movies, 4 out of 6 studens goes to cinemas, or watch DVD at    home.the majority of students here watch holywood movies like Harry Potter, Transformer, nad many alike.

2.   Music : many students in labsky love to hear music,whether its Indonesian or international,many students prefer international music rather than indonesian music.

3.   Study : i gotta admit no students actually likes studying.they only study so they can get good grades, go to a good college, get a goddamn successfull job, and have a life.

4. Gadget : many students in labschool have a mobile phone, they are needed to stay communicated with friends, get usefull information, or something like that.

5. Sport : many students here enjoys sport whether its basketball, soccer, american football, even rugby.sports are needed to stay fit and in shape. it also teach us teamwork and fair play.

6. Social networks :  Most of students in labsky have twitter and facebook account. In this time, they prefer to use twitter than facebook. Information spread faster in twitter.

i dont wanna talk to much because i know you dont actually read the whole thing so the point is labsky students have many issues whether its homework, friend, or something like that.and the things above are mostly entertaiment so they can enjoy themselfes while also studying.

The Images of Labsky By Zainul Muttaqin

Labsky stands for “labschool kebayoran”. Now, I’m studying at this school, LABSKY. Many people who are graduated  from this school get a successful life. This report is about telling their lifestyle that I see at labschool kebayoran.

1.       Movies :  4 out of 6 students in Labsky, love to watch movies. They said, watching  movies are one of their favorite things. Almost every weekend they go to the cinema, or watch movies from DVD.

2.       Music    :  Nowadays, everybody loves music. 6 of 6 students in labsky said that they prefer to listen international music than Indonesia’s music. Cause international music has better quality in the lyrics, tone, rhythm than the music from Indonesia.

3.       Study    :  3 of 6 students in labsky prefer to have their studying time in the school. And 3 of 6 other students want to study in weekends.

4.       Gadget :  Almost everybody in labsky have hand phone. handphone is very important to our daily life, example to communicate each other. It's gonna be hard to communicate each other if there's no mobile phone.

5.       Social networks :  Most of students in labsky have twitter and facebook account. In this time, they prefer to use twitter than facebook. Information spread faster in twitter.

So the conclusions are labsky students have different opinions on many aspects of my interviews. The labsky students are very up to date at following the globalization, without forgetting to study. But they prefer foreign cultures than their own country cultures. So, this is the lifestyle of labsky students. Thank you.

Labschool Kebayoran or Labsky for short, is the school that i'm currently attending. I've entered it's high school now and there are many new people that i met along with the new class. This entry is about their personalities in many different aspects

1. Movies
Nowadays, almost every teenagers like us love to watch movies. This also applies to Labsky students. Out of 5 students, all of them agrees that they all enjoy watching movies very much. When they have the chance, they would like to go to the cinema to watch their favourite movies. Most of them like a movie with a fantasy genre, especially the Harry Potter series.

2. Music
Nowadays, who doesn't like music. wether we're adults or just a kid, we all love listening to music. Especially us teenagers. The students of Labsky all have different taste in music but most of them like pop music. According to my interviews, 5 of 5 students prefer listening to music from western countries than music from Indonesia. They found them more fun to hear than Indonesia's music

3. Study
According to my interviews, 3 out of five students like to study more at school and review them at home. They feel that the distraction they get in their home when studying is worse than when they are studying at school

4. Gadget
Almost all of Labsky's students have mobile phones. They feel more comfortable with it because they can communicate with friends or family when they need it.

5. Social Networks
All of Labsky's students all have a social network account be it a facebook account or maybe a twitter account. Based on my interviews, 5 out of 5 students have a facebook account and 4 out of 5 students all have twitter accounts. Most of them said that they prefer using twitter to facebook because of it simple way to use and that they haven't really use their facebook account in a while

So from that, we can conclude that Labsky students all have a tendency to go to the cinema whenever they have a chance and that they really love watching movies. The second is that Labsky students prefer listening to pop music and western music than Indonesian music. The third is that most of Labsky's students prefer studying at school and review at home than the opposite. They think that there are more distraction at home than at school. And then, Labsky students all have a tendency to own a mobile phone and that they feel more comfortable having a mobile phone. And the last one is that all Labsky students have a social network account but the most used social network is Twitter

The Images of labsky.

After almost 3 years i spend my time in junior high school, i'm now entering senior high school. Labsky is the name of my school now, which stands for Labschool Kebayoran. Entering the new school year, I've met some new friends, new faces, and new personality of them. This report is about telling their habits in various aspects, and also the lifestyle i see in my new school(Labschool Kebayoran).

1. Movies: 4 out of 6 students in Labsky, love to watch movies. According to them,watching  movies are one of the favorite things they do when they're bored. some of them often go to cinema in weekend, but there are also students who rarely go to cinema. they prefer buy DVDs, and do dvd marathon at home.

2. Music: nowadays, everybody loves music. it also happens in labsky students. they do love music, and they like many genres of music. Pop, Pop-rock, Power-pow, Jazz, Rock, are the genres they like. But the most favored is a pop. According to the interviews, 6 of 6 students in labsky prefer to listen the international music than the local's. they presume that international music has better quality in the lyrics, tone, rhythm than the songs from indonesia's music scene. 

3. Study: According to the interview results, 3 of 6 students prefer to have their studying time in school, and only have some reviews at home. and the rest, like the opposite. only a few of them want to study in weekends, most of them have a good time to spend their weekend. thing that often happens is studying an hour before the test. but some students also say that it's useless.

4. Gadget (Mobile Phone) : 97% of labsky students have hand phone. in this modern life, having a hand phone is a must. it's so useful in daily life. the question is, how important is hand phone to their life? on a scale of 10, importance of the phone for them is on the scale of 9. mobile phone is needed to facilitate communication. it's gonna be hard to communicate each other if there's no mobile phone.

5. Social Networks: Having accounts of social network is connected with how often we access internet. Internet usage is often done for various thing, one of them is using social networks. most of students in Labsky  have twitter and facebook account. this time, they more often use twitter than facebook. information spread faster in twitter. According to them, the purpose of having social networks is to facilitate communication, to not be outdated, and to know a lot of information from local/international.

To conclude this report, you all can see that labsky students have different opinions on many aspects of my interviews. they are not the kind of teen that outdated, but they always try to fit in with the crowd's lifestyle. although we all know that crowd's lifestyle is not always good, but i'm sure that labsky students can choose what's good to be emulate. it's good to always pay attention with globalization, but our own culture is not always bring something bad. we should save and love our own culture, and not to be so addicted with international habits. keep it all in balance.
